The West Coast Sailing Club aims to be a sailing community and is not a charter service. To get access to the club boats you need to be a member in good standing of the West Coast Sailing Club (WCSC). All members of the club are required to have successfully completed the Basic Crew or Basic Cruising Standard by Sail Canada (CYA) and have a valid PCOC.

To become a member just click on the button below and fill out our membership application form. After that you pay the membership dues. When that is completed we will reach out to you with all the club information.
All new members of the club begin with "Crew" status. After three sails with club members, new members are eligible to apply to take a check-out sail after which they will be designated as "Skippers" and will be able to book the boat. A newly checked out club member (skipper) can take out other club members, current sailing students who want to check out the club or other sailors with at least CYA basic crew standard (or equivalent standard from another association). If a club member wants to take out guests, they can do so if they have skippered the club boat successfully and with no damage for three times after having been checked out.
Sail Training
You would like to join the West Coast Sailing Club but don't have minimum required certification: We suggest that you contact one of the local sailing schools and ask them about their certification program. One of local sailing schools we would like to recommend is Simply Sailing.
