The West Coast Sailing Club (WCSC) aims to be sailing community focused on socialization, collaboration and skill development. Members can book club boats out to sail with other members and their families and friends, but not as a charter company. All members of the club are required to have successfully completed the Sail Canada Basic Crew or Basic Cruising certification plus a Pleasure Craft Operators Card PCOC. All Club Skippers will need to have a VHF radio certificate (Radio Operators Certificate Maritime with Digital Selective Calling, or ROCM-DSC)

Register
Click on the button below and fill out our membership application form. If there is a space available, you will receive a payment link for membership dues. If there is no space, you will be invited to purchase a $50 space on the waiting list. We look to the waiting list when we add more boats, members move away, and at the beginning of the next season.
All new members begin with Club Crew status. After three sails with club members, new members can take a check-out sail to be designated as Club Skippers on the San Juan 24s. Newly checked out Club Skippers sail with other club members for at least three day sails before taking any guests as crew. Celeste Skippers need to have Sail Canada Intermediate Cruising certification, be checked out separately, and sail with club members at least three days before taking guests or cruising. Walkabout Skippers need to have skippered Celeste for at least three day sails and one three-day cruise successfully, and be checked out separately.
Members communicate with each other on a WhatsApp group for skippers to put crews together and for new crew to find skippers to sail with. The boats are also used for school
